Recently we have been exploring a number of new "enrichment" items to help our (and Koko"s) favorite silverback, Ndume, enjoy his environment. These include large hollow plastic balls and tubes with small holes to hide interesting foods - some of which were contributed by our supporters in response to our gorilla wishlist.

But one of the most creative enrichment days for Ndume was his recent birthday (Oct. 10), for which our caregivers converted the gorillas" outdoor and indoor facilities into a veritable camping expedition. See the Oct. 28th edition of Caregiver"s Corner in Penny"s Team Journal to explore for yourself.
