Koko reviews a painting done by a peer - the chimpanzee named "Ai" who is at the Kyoto Primate Institute in Japan. Unlike Koko, Ai was not taught sign language, but rather the language of mathematics, and she is quite good with numbers.

Koko gives Ai"s painting a "thumbs-up" review by signing "Koko love" in the photo above. Interestingly, Ai"s name means "love" in Japanese (though Koko hasn"t been told this yet).
