Koko"s Approach to Pomegranates

Koko encloses a whole half of a pomegranate in her mouth in order to prevent the juice from squirting all over her. She tends to eat the whole thing - 100% recycling.

You might also find it interesting that Koko"s sign-language description of a pomegranate (which she invented when asked what it was) is "red corn drink."

You can learn 48 of Koko"s favorite signs (out of her 1000 word vocabulary) on the Learn to Sign with Koko webpage.
