Koko sits on a blue barrel at the edge of the large outdoor yard and appears to be catching up on her sleep (wonder what she was reading).

Gorillas typically sleep about 12-13 hours each night and often rest for several hours during the day. Koko and Ndume are no exception. What a great life - it"s a shame that some people want to destroy it, rather than emulate and coexist peacefully with it. The more we learn about gorillas, the more we appreciate them - and all of the other great ape species (which include us) - on this planet.

That's why Conservation through communication has become both a reality and an imperative for the Gorilla Foundation. Join us!
