Lorraine Slater has been raising funds to help animals for over 15 years.
Starting her Development career at the Bronx Zoo in New York, she worked with gorilla research pioneer Dr. George Schaller in the Zoos conservation division.
She has also led development teams at the ASPCA in New York and at St. Huberts Animal Welfare Center, a regional organization in New Jersey.
After two years as a direct mail consultant with a New York City firm, Lorraine relocated in 1999 to the West Coast to become Development Director for The San Francisco SPCA.
She is eager to help Koko and Ndume realize their dream of relocating to Maui as soon as possible,
and is committed to helping the Gorilla Foundation grow and prosper so that this remarkable species may be saved from extinction.
